When you process a transaction with Camera Action.com.au, sensitive information, such as your credit card number, is encoded with the latest encryption technology. This means it cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system. Our order processing centre is not connected to the Internet and is not accessible in any way.
When processing orders on our site, Camera Action does not collect financial information to process your payment. This information is solely handled by our banking partner and is collected on a secure server using the latest encryption technology. This information is confidential and cannot be accessed beyond our banking institution.
It's just isn't working for me! 
We have done our best to insure the Camera Action Site will function in all browsers on all operating systems. Alas, after exhaustive testing and perpetual recoding our dream of a truly cross platform / cross browser Web Site has not come to fruition. We have found that everything works on a Windows set up running Internet Explorer 4 or above. If you are experiencing difficulties on a system other than this please refer to the Microsoft Internet Explorer link on our download pages for an update.

If you are an O' Brian or De'Arcey, or if you have made a comment in the comment box telling us "don't leave at door" or "I can't be home", you have used an apostrophe that our order form will interpret as a single quote, which is part of the page's code. We hope to overcome the problem in the near future. But for now, please just leave this punctuation out. We'll work it out.
Recent media advice has suggested that shopping via the web is unsafe unless that site sits behind an SSL (secure socket layer). Good advice but not entirely correct.
Camera Action Camera House does not sit behind SSL and therefore does not carry the Protocol prefix HTTPS://
The reason for this is simple. Camera Action Camera House does not process your transaction. Camera Action Camera House will process your order but at the point of processing your credit card details our site will hand you on to our Secure Payment Gateway managed by the National Australia Bank. When transferred you will notice the HTTPS:// prefix. The Payment Gateway site does lie behind a Secure Socket Layer.
This system is twice as safe for you the web shopper, not even Camera Action staff see your card details.
Our 'Payment Gate Way' requires that you have cookies enabled on your browser to process your transaction. The cookie that may be laid on your machine, simply enables us to transfer any information you may have given us in our order form, to the payment gate way. Cookies have the added advantage of creating a seamless feel while surfing through our site and if you come back to us at a later date by 'remembering' you. This means that you don't have to fill in our order form with your details every time you come back to our 'check out'.
Contrary to popular fears and misconceptions, cookies are not created to spy on or otherwise invade the privacy of Internet users. Cookies contain only information that you have volunteered, and they do not have the capability of infiltrating your hard drive and sneaking away with personal information. The simple function of a cookie is that of helping the user navigate a web site with as little obstruction as possible.
Why have I been asked to supply further Identification?
Your transaction via the Camera Action web site and the National Australia Bank Secure Internet Payment Gateway is 100% safe for you, our valued customer. However, Camera Action Camera House as the merchant/retailer will carry the full brunt of of any credit card fraud. We are therefore forced to adhere to a strict in house policy of security checks. Your card details will go through an Address Verification process. If the Address verification fails we will need to ask you for proof of identity. To prevent this we ask that all information supplied at the shopping cart is up to date and that all fields are completed. Please understand this is as much for your security as it is for ours. Together we can curb Internet credit card fraud.
Please also note that Camera Action Camera House does NOT process your credit card. Our banking partner in conjunction with your bank handles this step of the transaction. We do not see your credit card number nor do we record credit card details. The National Australia bank processes funds from your account to ours. NB: Process of funds is not acknowledgement of a successful transaction according to the Camera Action Camera House security policy. If you have any concerns please contact our help desk.
What might cause my Address Verification (AV) to fail?
You must supply the billing address for the card you used. If you want goods sent to your work place. (Because you are more likely to be there, than at home when goods are delivered, we do understand). Or you are purchasing a gift, and would like it sent directly to the recipient. Or you are preparing to visit from elsewhere and would like goods delivered to your destination.You will be supplying a 'ship to' address. A 'ship to' address will fail Address Verification. If you supply a phone number other than your home phone, AV will fail. Mobile phone numbers, if not listed will fail AV. Free E-mail address's are an instant AV fail. We will no longer ship to a PO box number or locked bag. Confusing your name with your work address will fail address verification. Please separate your name and home address from your business name and business address. We will deliver to a business address if ID can be verified.
As you may have already read (AVS) we have a rather strict address verification policy
If we can not verify your address via your local white pages we will request identification. This will delay the shipping of your order. Almost 90% of orders placed with Camera Action.com.au fail address verification simply because details have been filled in incorrectly. To expedite the delivery of your order please be sure all information is present and correct. If there is a reason for delivery details varying from your phone directory detail please make a note in our comments box on the shopping cart.
The BPAY payment option accepts credit card and requires no address verification.
There are 3 prices on our site.
The main price in large type is our discounted retail price in Australian dollars and includes Australian taxes (or GST).
Our tax free price is is the smaller price found to the left of the retail price.
This price is also in Australian dollars but is free of GST (Goods and Services Tax). This price is available to you if you are an Australian citizen leaving Australia or if you are out side Australia. This price can be referred to as our 'Export Price'.
The third and final price is our export price in your 'local currency'.
This price is derived from a Java script based upon our 'tax free price' or 'export price' in Australian dollars. It uses your windows regional settings to do its calculations. If your region settings are set incorrectly or not set, the calculation will fail, or give you a false report. If you are reading the local currency in a region other than your home, simply click on the price in local currency and select the currency you would like to display.
The value displayed is only a guide. It does not include any commissions your credit card company may charge and does not include exchange fluctuations that may occur from the time you make your purchase to the time your credit card is billed.
The final price at the shopping cart total will be in Australian dollars. Your credit card company will charge you in your local currency and your statement will verify exchange rate according to your banking institutions normal international transactions procedure. (This applies to all foreign transactions made through Camera Action Camera House.)
When browsing our prices you will notice the main price in prominent grey type and a second smaller price. Both prices are in Australian dollars. The main price is our domestic Australian retail price including GST (Goods and Services Tax). The smaller price is our GST free or export price.
Camera Action Camera House will not be held responsible for any inconvenience caused by typographical errors related to price, specification or description, and reserve the right to withdraw from sale any item it sees fit. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Tax Free to Australian citizens
You will be paying retail prices from our site and claiming the tax back at the airport as you leave. Provided you are leaving with in 30 days of Invoice date. With our delivery you will receive a Tax Invoice. You take this, with the goods listed on the invoice to an ATO window. These are situated on the departure deck just beyond passport control. Present staff the goods and the invoice and they will refund the tax you have paid. Your final price will be the 'tax free' price as listed on our site. There are number of conditions that must be adhered to. Your total invoice must be over $300. You must be at the ATO window within a minimum of 30 minutes before boarding. More Information Here
Please note that if we send goods to your home address off Australian shores you have a tax advantage, i.e. you will not pay australian GST. However if you have us deliver your goods domestically, even if you live out of Australia you will pay Australian tax's of 10%. If you do Pay Australian tax's and you leave our shores with in 30 days of INVOICE date you can claim all tax's back as you leave the airport. .
How do I buy tax free on line?
When a purchase is made online through CameraAction.com.au the noted delivery address will automatically determine whether tax is to be paid or not.
That is to say, if an order is to be delivered with in Australia, GST will be applied and charged. If the delivery address is off Australian shores, GST will be dropped and not charged.
You can now choose to pay for your Camera Action.com.au order via the convenience of BPAY. To do so you will need to have registered as a phone / internet banking customer with your financial institution. more
Extended Warranties are available on all our camera's, it allows you to extend the manufacturers warranty on their new camera by 1, 2, 3 or 4 years. This warranty is limited to the extension of the same conditions as supplied by the the original manufacturer of the equipment.
